About Marble ComputerSince 1968 Marshal Crawford (co-founder of DCD) had the vision to see that COBOL had the potential to be the most powerful computer language ever written. DCD (Data Correlation and Documentation System) was created with less that 20,000 lines of code. In 1975, soon after the development of the DCD package, Marshal Crawford and Fred Noble joined forces to start Marble Computer.
Over time DCD
continues to evolved as COBOL software with an ingenious algorithm to
capture what many thought impossible and enforced Marshal's belief about
COBOL. Currently, this user friendly and commanding COBOL software
contains over 150,000 lines of code within more than 135 program
modules. DCD has expanded to a line of products that promise today's
COBOL programmer the most comprehensive, lightning fast and powerful
utilities ever created for COBOL. Our COBOL mainframe products have been
designed around our world famous application, DCD which is designed to
dramatically reduce the time and resulting costs involved in maintenance
of the user’s existing COBOL programs.
